This Giving Tuesday, we want to unite as a community because we are undoubtedly better together. Some generous donors have agreed to match up to $50,000, so every dollar will be doubled!
Corners Outreach is in the unique position of serving as a liaison between business and minority workers in the region. In order to fully leverage this connection, we need to hire a team of mentors and community leaders to vet workers and establish talent pipelines. These diverse voices will help us launch Workforce Academy and reach our goal of putting 248 students back on track to earn their GED or diploma and train over 850 workers in high-demand fields by 2024.
Any amount you give goes a long way:
$25 funds two hours of career coaching.
$50 funds a week of GED classes.
$100 funds a basic toolset for an apprentice.
$250 funds a partial scholarship into a trade program.
$500 funds transportation to and from training for 10 employees.
$1,000 funds a HVAC or welding practice unit for hands on learning.
$5,000 funds salary for diverse career coaches and mentors that can build trust with participants.
